PITCH — Complaints, Reports and Takedown
The process, the standard we publish, and the one we actually build
Version 1.4 · 28 September 2026
Part 1 — For anyone who needs to tell us something
Reporting something
Every public page on Pitch has a "Report this page" link. Use it.
You do not need an account. You do not need to give a reason. You do not need to be sure.
Report anything, including:
- your child appears somewhere they should not;
- someone has published a photograph or a name without permission;
- an account you believe belongs to a child but presents as an adult;
- an adult behaving in a way that would concern you at a ground;
- something on Pitch that simply does not look right.
If your child appears in content someone else has published — a club's page, a trial notice — tell us and we will remove it. We do not ask you to justify that.
What happens then
| Straight away | An automatic acknowledgment, telling you when a person will look at it. |
| Within one business day | A human has read it and either acted or told you what happens next. |
| If a child is at risk | We act immediately, whatever day it is. We do not wait for the business day. |
One business day is the promise, and we chose it because we will keep it every time. We are a small company. We could publish a shorter number and miss it on the first long weekend, which would help nobody. Urgent things do not wait for it — see below.
If it is urgent
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, call 000. Pitch is not an emergency service and we would rather you rang the police than us.
Then tell us as well, at burak.donmez@pitch-football.com, putting URGENT in the subject line.
Being straight with you about what that means. Pitch is one person. That address is his, it is on his phone, and urgent mail is not left until Monday — but he is one person and there will be hours when he is asleep or driving. That is why the line above comes first: if a child is in danger, ring 000. We are the second call, not the first, and we would rather say so than let a page imply a control room.
If you are unhappy with what we did
Reply and say so, or write to burak.donmez@pitch-football.com.
We are not going to tell you that someone independent looks at it, because today nobody else can. Pitch is one person, so whoever made the decision is whoever reviews it. What actually happens: it is read again from the start, against what you have said rather than against the original decision, and you get an answer within five business days.
If you are still unhappy, you can go outside Pitch entirely, and you do not need our permission:
- eSafety Commissioner — esafety.gov.au — for online safety concerns, including cyberbullying material targeting an Australian child, and for image-based abuse.
- Office of the Australian Information Commissioner — oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992 — for privacy complaints.
- Kids Helpline — 1800 55 1800 — free, any hour, for young people.
- 1800RESPECT — 1800 737 732 — family violence and safety.
